We were thrilled to see over 100 community members turn out for Wednesday night’s community workshop to kick-off the Dempster Corridor Plan. Residents of all ages were eager to share and discuss their ideas for improving Morton Grove’s main commercial corridor as a safer and more vibrant destination and community hub.

What’s Next?

The planning team is diving into your input, documenting all that we heard at the workshop. Be sure you are subscribed to PlanDempster.org to receive an email when a summary is available.

The workshop was just the start of community engagement that will continue throughout the planning process. Through summer we are focused on listening and gathering community input, while also conducting a technical analysis of corridor conditions. Then we will begin to draft goals and recommendations for the Dempster corridor, which will be shared online and at future workshops for public comment.

Keep the energy and good ideas going by participating in one these engagement opportunities:

1. Take the survey: We hope to continue the conversations that started last night with this survey – take it today for a chance to win one of two (2) $100 gift cards.
2. Visit us at a pop-up event: Stop by the Dempster Corridor booth to share ideas at one of our upcoming pop-up events. We’ll be at Morton Grove Days on July 3rd, between 4 and 5:30pm, and at National Night Out on August 5th.
3. Add comments to the map and ideas wall online: Share new ideas 24/7 using these online tools.
